अहार्यत्वादनर्घत्वादक्षयत्वाच्च सर्वदा॥
सब द्रव्यों में विद्यारुपी द्रव्य सर्वोत्तम है, क्यों कि वह किसी से हरा नहीं जा सकता;
उसका मूल्य नहीं हो सकता, और उसका कभी नाश नहीं होता।
विद्या ददाति विनयं विनयाद्याति पात्रताम् ।
पात्रत्वाध्दनमाप्नोति धनाध्दर्मं ततः सुखम् ।।
विद्या विनय अर्थात विनम्रता प्रदान करती है ,विनम्रता से मनुष्य योग्यता प्राप्त करता है,
अपनी योग्यता के दम पर मनुष्य धन प्राप्त करता है और धन से धार्मिक कार्य समपन्न हो सकते है ,
धार्मिक कार्य से असीम आनन्द की प्राप्ति होती है । इसका अर्थ है कि मनुष्य को सदैव सर्वश्रेष्ठ कार्य करने चाहिये
उसीसे सुख की प्राप्ति होती है।इसके मूल मे ये है कि मनुष्य को ज्ञानवान होने की महती आवश्यकता है।
संयोजयति विद्यैव नीचगापि नरं सरित् ।
समुद्रमिव दुर्धर्षं नृपं भाग्यमतः परम् ॥
जैसे नीचे प्रवाह में बहेनेवाली नदी, नाव में बैठे हुए इन्सान को न पहुँच पानेवाले समंदर तक पहुँचाती है,
वैसे हि निम्न जाति में गयी हुई विद्या भी, उस इन्सान को राजा का समागम करा देती है;
और राजा का समागम होने के बाद उसका भाग्य खील उठता है ।
